Cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason came into the spotlight in 2016 when he won the prestigious BBC Young Musician competition. His debut album features Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1, the work he performed for the BBCYM final. Recorded live with conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Inspiration also includes a broad range of new cello arrangements, from Saint-Saëns's "The Swan" to Bob Marley's "No Woman, No Cry."
